Iggy Pop & David Bowie
Iggy and Bowie met in New York in 1971. Bowie remixed Raw Power (1973), Stooges’ third album. Following the breakup of The Stooges, Iggy checked himself into a drug rehab program. Bowie eventually took him on the road with him in 1976, on his Station to station tour. In Berlin, they wrote and produced together Iggy’s debut solo album, The Idiot, as well as its follow up, Lust for Life. Among others, they co-wrote China Girl, Sister Midnight and Tonight, all of which later also appeared on Bowie’s albums…
