Question by whitetop94538: If someone called 911 reporting himself about to become an addict?
If someone called 911 reporting he just did cocaine or heroin for the first time and is about to become an addict, how would they react? Is it jail time and punishment in the war on drugs? or do they have programs for help with that?
I don’t do drugs personally, this area is just a gap in my understanding of things. I really don’t know how prepared the system is for this particular situation.

They would guide you to resources that exist in the community to help you, and then politely ask you not to tie up the lines for true life-threatening emergencies.
