Question by Satty68: If a stepchild molests your daughter his half sister do I have the right to sue him for restitution’s he 18?
He was under age when it happened 2 years ago she is still going through therapy which I cant afford the state was helping but not anymore her therapist thinks its in her best interest to stay in therapy for that she still has nightmares and there is allot for her to go through. He hes now turned 18 and has a trust fund that I feel could help my daughter in paying for her therapy, he has also stated that he blames his biological mother for what she has put him through we, myself & husbandreceivesd custody of him in 2005 because his mother was in prison for 3 dui’s and failing a drug test(crack cocaine)so as the stepmother I opened my door to him only to find out he was abusing my little girl his half sister! He is now back with his mother and now shes wanting child support for him go figure because he is still in school till next May2011.Yes to all that answer this was reported to the police and CPS the case is closed on that hes cured as the state of WV says but I have my doubtswouldn’tt any mother who never thought this would happen to your little girlex speciallyy after u took him to therapy when u got custody of him & learned what he had been through with his biological mother)What can I do, lost but not FORGOTTEN!!!
Yes I could probly sue the biological mother & father but you need 2 know we just got custody of said child & he ,in his words started molesting my daughter his half sister as soon as he moved in and blames it on his mother & the lifestyle she had when he was living with her,as a parent I dont think some of you understand the guilt I have not being there as a mother and a protector for my daughter.I feel my stepson should have to pay for what he has done also I need to say this HE IS BACK DOING DRUGS living with his mother what can I do about that?????
