IDEALISTICALLY speaking… shouldn’t drugs be regulated by the partaker??
Question by zeek: IDEALISTICALLY speaking… shouldn’t drugs be regulated by the partaker??
i know most of you will give me spiels about how drugs are bad… and im not going to disagree. they can be destroying to society, and to the individual. but, i was thinking… speaking as an idealist, if one would want to get high for any reason at all, shouldn’t he be able to? we drink coffee when we want to wake up? i understand the difference between meth and coffee are huge, as with a bunch of other drugs, but still, as long as everyone who partakes in drug-activities did it in a responsible manner, shouldn’t it be 100% legal? what’s it matter to people in europe if i were to light up in brazil? why should it matter if i have 12 kilos of crack that i intend to use over the period of my lifetime? (i dont, just hypothetically speaking..) if crime could be stopped, no one fighting over the next hit, if no one drove under the influence, nor arrived at work/school influenced, shouldnt it be okay? personal health reasons shouldnt be a reason to ban drugs for other people its their life
i do agree with out drugs are scheduled currently… by the way… im just thinkin what if this world could be a perfect place??…

I agree. There’d be less people in jails, and there would be less drug-related crime due to them being legal. I don’t understand why people think it’s so bad to get high…Sure there are some idiots that drive and/or do dangerous things, but they do that with alcohol too and it’s still legal. If people let it run their lives, oh well that’s their problem. I think it would do more good then harm overall to legalize all drugs. Only people who already do them would continue to, it’s not like everybody would all the sudden pick up a pipe.
