I’m just want to know how alcoholics are treated and what types of programs they go through inside a treatment center.

Hey there, i am also located in Austin, Texas so i thought id take a stab at this one. I have not been in a Alcoholism class but i do work at a hospital and i have seen people come in, get their stomach pumped, go to the class for 6 months then come out new people. Ive only listened in once and it seemed like a inviting personable experience. They are high on privacy and everything is taken at the speed you want it to go. I recommend any class in Austin as they are all on the same standards. The time i went it was more a “circle discussion” and they had a ropes course to help you feel like there is someone else there for you and you aren’t alone in this.
