Question by MABISKING: I Quit drinking over a year ago is my digestive system permanently disabled?
I drank beer heavily and some tequila but hardly ever. Am i absorbing the food I eat because I have heard that alchohol destroys your bodys abilty to absorb food!!

Oh man, I’ve seen someone deal with this.

You actually have to ween yourself off of alcohol in order for your body to work right. So, you’re going to have to start drinking again. HEAVILY. Then slowly drink less and less until you feel like the food you eat is actually doing something when you eat without alcohol in your system.
