You guys are right, I can not blame the drugs for my problems, but they have not helped either. i was in a bad accident, i started using drugs for pain, then i started self medicating myself for sleep and to wake up and now i am a mess.
The insurance will cover any drug rehabilitation center in iowa so i might as well go to the best drug rehab center money can buy.

One thing, I would like an all female center, is there such a thing as a female only drug treatment center? because i do not want the bull that comes with dealing with drugged up drunk men, yuck!

i have already tried alcoholics anonymous and narc anon and they did not work for me so i think an alternative to 12 step programs is what i need.

I know you don’t want to hear this but the best rehab in town is yourself. No one quits until they themselves have decided to quit. AA is not advisable you are trading one addiction for another. Besides AA has the same success rate as quitting on ones own but has a much higher mortality rate. Drug rehab only helps those who are Truly committed and most people who are truly committed quit on their own.See a doctor first and have him or her recommend a rehab. I have seen people bounce in and out of different rehab programs with no success and beside the majority of rehabs sen you to AA after treatment.
