Question by Rob: I live in SE Wisconsin and want to finish my basement. Do I need to use “floating Walls”?
I have found info on the web that states that you should use “floating walls” when you have “expansive clay soil ” below your foundation. The clay soild expands and contracts with the moisture level of the clay which will push the floor up. Do I need to use that technique in Kenosha, WI? I know I have clay soil but I do not see a huge change in the floor of my basement. Any help would be appreciated.
