I have an insurance question?

Question by Matt: I have an insurance question?
Im going through my insurance packet and it states that “this plan does not cover any mental health services or services related to the treatment of mental illness. But im looking over the online drug formulary and they have a list of mental health drugs that are covered ( http://www.bcbsnm.com/pdf/rx/nm_druglist.pdf ) will they still cover the cost of my upcoming doctors visit and will they cover the cost of the drugs (sertraline and seroquel).
I know who to call and I know where to look for an answer to my question im just hoping for a straight forward answer from someone who has experience with this type of stuff.
great thanks

If your primary doctor writes the Rx and it is on the formulary then it will be covered. What they are referring to is psychologists visits, psychiatric care, counseling, rehab in-patient facilities, etc.
