well i got the laptop from my mom which she got from rent a center. ans they didnt give me a recovery disc. its really giving me problems and i did want it faster so now i wanna delete everything off of it, is there a way to do that without a recovery disc? its vista home basic

Try going to the website of the laptop manufacturer. They should have a troubleshooting/FAQ section that may help you out. Some sites also have live Chat, so you can talk with someone about the problem.
