I have a friend who is apparently addicted to meth…?

I used to know this nice girl, we went to high school together a few years back

Anyway, recently I ran into her and we hit it off, she complained about some pain and I asked about it, she said that she was fine, that her current living place has some insects she needs to spray for, that they crawled into her skin and were bitting her from the inside.

I was instantly suspicious, considering her weight loss and overall complexion.

I really like this girl, so I was very interested in helping her get over her ailment… googled the symptoms and almost instantly came up with Chronic Meth Addiction.

I never thought she would be the type, but I read up and her description of the insects is almost textbook.

I intend to go to her and talk it out, offer my support and get her off of the drug. However, I am concerned, after looking it up online, METH BUGS are apparently hallucinations that cause people to lacerate themselves.

Is there a cure for this? if I get her to stop will they fade?
Before anyone says anything.

I am NOT this “person”, I am not a chronic ANYTHING user. Thank you very much.
