I have a cousin who’s taking Suboxone to help himself get off of heroin, I have a question about it?

Question by Noooooope: I have a cousin who’s taking Suboxone to help himself get off of heroin, I have a question about it?
So, my cousin is on Suboxone to help the withdrawals of heroin and he’s in an outpatient rehab for this. He went to a inpatient rehab place the first time for heroin stayed off of it for two years then he’s back on it again so this time he’s in a outpatient one but before he went to the rehab where he had to stay at he had to detox at home and he took the medicine they gave him but he relapsed and shot up again but since he had the medicine in his system it he threw up continuously and had diarrhea like you couldn’t even imagine. My question is, is Suboxone the same? If he shoots up while it’s in his system will it cause those type of symptoms again? Because I’m worried that he DID go shoot up again I COULD wait until they give him the surprise drug test but I’m too anxious to wait. I looked at his arms and I couldn’t see any track marks except old ones that are now scars but I do realize he can shoot up in other places also that can be hide VERY easily and I can’t just be like let me see in between your fingers and toes and such. When I’m there he’ll be in a horrible mood, leave then come back in a very good mood which causes me to back track and think he shot up.

So please, if you have any thoughts on this and know how this medicine works it would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, he can still be shooting dope on suboxone….it does have a blocking agent but all he has to do is skip his daily dose and go party.

suboxone is a super powerful opiate anyways, juts the high is not as good as heroin, so he’s still a junkie even in sub, just getting his dope from a doctor.

cede_rae is living in fantasy land. suboxone is one of the most addictive drugs there are and rehabs are full of people trying to get off of it!
