Question by Chance It: I got BEAT and hospital thinks I FAKED it.?
I am 19 yrs old and JUST RECENTLY got out of a very abusive relationship…I mean like last week.
I was with an older man who for 2 years seperated me from friends/family, beat me, raped me, sold me to other men as a sex toy ect..ect.. (no im not kidding)

I was too scared to leave him cause he said he had people watching me and it wasn’t till he almost killed me that I ran for help…this happened recently.

I was in the hospital after my bf had been beating on me for hours (hitting me mostly in the stomach and head.;.there wasn’t a lot of bruises except one on my cheek and on my hips) and they called for a therapist to come talk to me.

Now I’m not the kind of girl to scream and cry in front of strangers, even if I am very upset. I like to “keep my composure.” So when she came in my room I greeted her with a smile and answered all her questions calmly and did my best to hold back emotion (I didnt know her well enough to let it all go after all)

She accusingly said “Your rather calm for someone who has supposedly gone through so much abuse.” I just smiled and nodded. She left the room.

I heard her talking to the nurse and said something to the fact that she didnt think my case was as serious as I made it out to be to the police and said I as “TOO CALM” to be a victim of abuse.

10 minutes later the hospital released me…I hobbled out to my car and even violently threw up in front of a nurse on my way out….they still let me go.

This does NOT seem right!! I think I should have gotten more care! Did I do something wrong?!

That’s so…..crap I’m shocked. Go back there, and give them a what’s what. Maybe you should “explain” to them that just because youre strong doesn’t mean you’re a liar.
