I got a DUI in Arizona …?
Question by Pooki3: I got a DUI in Arizona …?
On August 13, i was arrested for driving under the influence, and the cop charged me with 8 charges. In court on September 11 the prosecutor dropped all charges except the DUI (I am only 20 years old). I live in California.
I had a 90 day suspended license, 24 hour in that horrible tent city, 36 hour alcohol treatment, breathalyzer install for a year, and the fine.
it’s been two months since then and the 90 day is up on December 11. Now i talked to a police officer the other day on getting some help of what i would need to do. One of the first things she told me was call the DMV here in california where i live. The California DMV told me my license was valid and so i could legally drive in California.
So can someone tell me why my license is valid here in California? I’m guessing i can’t drive in Arizona.
they didnt make me change
what happens if the report never makes it to california

You aren’t a resident of Arizona so they do not have license authority over you. The DUI report probably hasn’t made it to California yet.
