Would like an article that relates to family substance abuse and predisosition, specifically relating to a family member that is predisposed to addiction and doesn’t use chemicals BUT has a mental disorder because of the predisposition.

Addiction or alcohol abuse is but a symptom of a deeper problem. Does the mental disorder come first or the predisposition. You abuse because of mental issues. It then also becomes a physical issue. I know this doesn’t answer your question but I felt the need to say this. Try rehab sites, they are usually full of information.
