HUGHES RELISHING HAMPSHIRE CHALLENGE
Australia opener Phil Hughes has joined Hampshire until the end of the LV= County Championship season. The 22-year-old left-hander will join the Division One county later this month and will be available for the match against Lancashire on August 31.

Supervisors give condemned dog another chance
LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Board of Supervisors on Tuesday agreed to give a dog that was ruled vicious earlier this summer another chance and not destroy it after its owner was found in violation of rules for containing the dog.
