Question by Angel G: how to detox from lortab?
i just had major spine surgery and im having a hard time getting off the pain medicine. im taking lortab in the morning and by late afternoon im feeling sick and shacking. could these be effects of addiction? if they are how do you get off of lortab?

Talk to your doctor about it. Seriously.

The addictive portion of Lortab is hydroxycodone, which isn’t over-the-counter stuff by any means. Your doctor will be able to tell you: a) whether this is actually addiction or just a side effect of the drug, and b) what you should do about it. If you’re having a problem with it, your doctor will probably taper off the dose and prescribe a different painkiller. But I repeat, you need advice from a professional here, not some guy on the Internet. Don’t skip any doses and definitely do not stop taking it outright without talking to someone.
