How to Crank Out Articles by the Truck Load

While I am relatively new to the online marketing business, I have found that using Article Marketing is an absolutely great way to bring traffic to my website. I have no degree in English or journalism, in fact my former occupation was driving a truck, but I recognize the power in Article Marketing. Of course internet marketing veterans know this but many novice marketers do not. I must confess right here and now that I did not even think about Article Marketing in the beginning.

I know that there are those out there who say that writing an article is easy. Let me tell you from experience that it is not as easy as they would have you think. However while it may not be the easiest thing in the world, it is not rocket science either. Take the time to research the subject that you are going to write about. Does this even if you “think” you know a lot about it. There are those who know more than you do. Visit forums on the subject, visit FAQ pages, or even read books or magazines. Your goal is to be recognized as an expert on the field you have chosen and taking these simple steps will go a very long way toward reinforcing that image.

If you are trying to drive traffic to your website then article marketing is a very effective way to do so. When your articles are picked up by websites or ezines links back to your website are created through your resource box. These links, commonly called backlinks increase your ranking on the various search engines. So, it only stands to reason that if you get more articles out there then more websites or ezines will pick them up and create even more backlinks.

Writing articles can do even more for you. Writing and publishing an article helps build your credibility with visitors to your website. As you become more well known the more trust you will instill in a visitor. Soon those visitors will start becoming “opt in” subscribers more often, thus building your list.

The “list” is the most important tool in internet marketing. You will use it to sell products. When used properly your list can make you a great deal of profit. Do some reading; there are people who run online business that make literally thousands of dollars per month, and some tens of thousands. These people are no different than you are. They put their pants on just like you do. What they have that you may not is a large, powerful list of subscribers. That is what you need to work on now.

Writing articles and placing them on your website will give you content that is continually new and fresh. The article must be relevant to your website of course. Let me lend a little advice to you about articles on your website. Do not use articles on your website that you have submitted to article directories. This can cause your website to suffer in search engine rankings due to duplicate content.

If you are not good at or do not enjoy writing you can do one of two things. First you can visit one of the freelance writing sites such as Elance and post to get writers to bid and get the lowest price. Most people at these sites are reputable however there are some who are not. Be sure to check any articles that you have paid for to ensure that they are original. Simply pick a few key phrases out of each article, cut and past the phrase into Google and do a search. If that exact phrase comes up even once you should reject all of articles by that writer and never use them again. The second option private label rights (PLR) articles. These can be readily found by doing a Google search. If you choose PLR articles you must not use the title and rewrite them. The reasoning here is since you either purchased or downloaded these articles, does it not make sense that others have as well?

Write your own articles, hire someone to do it, or use PLR articles, there is nothing wrong with any of these options. All article marketing professionals’ use them just ensure your credibility by doing the research if you are writing your own articles and protect yourself by checking articles that you have purchased through freelance and rewrite those that are PLR.
