How should I answer this graduate school admission question?
Question by candigal: How should I answer this graduate school admission question?
I’m applying for my master’s in mental health counseling. Currently I have a BS in Psychology and an AS in Drug and Alcohol Recovery Counseling. I’m stumped on how to answer 1 of the questions on the in the personal statement. It is: What do you believe are facets of your personality, behavior, and/or outlook that if modified or changed would make you a better person/counselor? What plans, if any, do you have for making this change? I know it is a personal question that I should know about myself, but how the hell do I answer that without sounding like I would make a bad counselor? Please don’t send me any links to spam websites or I will report you. Thanks.

just write from your heart.
Just as they said, pick out a few things you are not good at, and then take the time to write about how you plan to improve.
Other way to think about it is think of someone who is better than you in some fashion, or has a quality you admire, and use that as an example of what you want to improve.
