I’m trying very hard to watch what I eat and exercise…. And I know that alcohol will not help me lose the weight faster. However, I do not want to cut it out of my regular routine. (especially over the weekends) I always like to have a few + glasses of wine or other kinds of alcoholic drinks. How bad is it to consume a somewhat large amount of alcohol 2 times a week while attempting to lose weight?

It will slow your progress a bit, for a couple reasons. 1- Liquid calories. They add up quicker than you think (not to mention if you get the munchies after drinking for a while). 2- When you consume alcohol, the body does not burn fat for 24 hours. 3. You are less likely to work out if you are hungover.

I honestly can’t harp on you too much because I do the same thing from time to time(or most weekends I should say), just realize that it will put a slight damper on your progress.
