Question by CSmom: How many women out there have had a Nurse or Dr. give you Pitocin to speed up your labor?
Even though you were laboring fine, did they give you Pitocin to “help things along a little bit” , as though you are not having that baby quickly enough so the Dr. can get back to the office or what ever. And then all of a sudden you go into such an extrememly painful labor because the nurse is cranking up the dose to overdose level, so you are begging for an epidural you didn’t want in the 1st place, and then ended up with a C-section, or you had a little boy who became Autistic?
There is new information out there that Pitocin can cause Autism in boys, because it is a synthetic form of Oxytocin which is the love hormone. If you OD the birthing mother on Pitocin, yes your son could be Autistic.

Amy S. You pretty much just hit the nail right on the head. It’s nice to see that some people are seeing the reality of birth rape.
Amy S. My friend is also planning an unattended home birth, because of all the stupid things they do to you in the hospital. She literaly had a birth rape.
Unfortunately the US has one of the highest infant mortality rates in the developed countries of the world. In Europe they give birth at home with midwives. The US has gone a little hog wild, all in the name of modern medicine. I say if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Let it happen on it’s own.
To the girl who was induced at 41 weeks, the reason you ended up with a C-Section, is because you were induced before the baby was ready to be born. There could easily have been a miscalculation on the due date. Also not all pregnancy’s are complete at 40 weeks. 2 out of my 3 kids were overdue, 1 by 2 weeks, and the other by 3 weeks. I was induce with the last one, but only enough to get my labor started, and then they let my body do the job it was meant to do. He weighed 10 lbs, and I had him with no epidural, and little pain meds. The only reason I was induced was because the placenta was beginning to deteriorate.

if you ended up with a c-section then something more was wrong than them just trying to hurry it along. You probably stopped dilating or had been in labor a really long time with little progression. Pitocin doesn’t cause autism or you to have a c-section so stop blaming your Dr.
