How many of you started out gung ho on a diet and then just gave up?

Question by daisymae: How many of you started out gung ho on a diet and then just gave up?
It could be a diet for weight management, lowering your BP (i.e., low sodium diet) or lowering cholesterol (without drug intervention), etc. What made you give up? I am started my strict chloesterol diet on Monday and the excluded foods are my down right favorites.
