We have so many campaigns against smoking but not a single one against alcohol. Marijuana is condemned as obnoxious although it is used in Medicine.
I do not smoke, drink or use Marijuana to clarify my position so I am totally neutral.
I admit that smoking is not healthy but so is the constant abuse of alcohol.
People who abuse loose part or whole of their capability to judge their actions and become totally ridiculous (best scenario) or aggressive
and in some cases dangerous to others.
It affects the lives of the ones around them, their family, wife and children and may lead to violence in the worst degree. Certainly it will affect their capacity to work and may end by leaving them jobless.
The impact on their own life is catastrophic ,ultimately leaving them without friends, job, means of existence, sick in body and mind and in the end may kill them.
All this is so much worse than the smoking of cigarettes that I cannot understand why the focus is on one evil and forgets the other.
Alcoholism is one of the great plagues of our time and takes its firsts steps during young adulthood. Why not combat this issue as ferociously as smoking? Does not seem logical to me.
