How do I refuse drink in work place?

Question by Michael: How do I refuse drink in work place?
I work in some corporate office, and sometimes, all employees go out to drink (among other things). However, I don’t drink (real reason: I hear so many bad things about it, I developed permanent distaste for it), but I don’t want to tell them the real reason, since that’s a bit too personal, and they’ll counter it w/ something like, “then control your drinking,” or something.

I just want them to stop bothering me about it, but I don’t know how to decline the alcohol respectively. But of course, I am going to need a good excuse.

So, what’s a good excuse?

Excuses that will not work:
– I don’t drive to workplace/bar, since I live VERY close to my workplace and bar, so I can’t use “I have to drive home.”
– I always have enough money and everyone knows it, so I can’t use “I don’t have the money.”
– I already tried “I don’t like the taste,” and they counter with “well, keep drinking, and you’ll get used to it,” or “you still need to drink since everyone else is drinking.”

I really need a GOOD excuse where they won’t bother you again. Please help.
Okay, I work in a Korean company (located in Korea), and as some of you may know, EVERYONE drinks there. Furthermore, sometimes, it’s your boss that’s offering the drink. I can’t simply refuse unless I have a good excuse. Hell, even my boss KNOWS I don’t drink, but he still offers. And my other employees say if I don’t drink, it’s a mood killer.

Not that I think I’m gonna be fired for not drinking, but here in Korea, it’s actually bad thing (downright rude) if you don’t drink when someone else is offering to pour you a drink. That is, unless you have a GOOD excuse. And I can’t think of any. So far, I was able to just refuse and such, but… I can tell that they’re giving me those weird looks and such. Sigh. I need help.
