How can I tell if someone is on meth?

My brother-in-law has a drug history and he’s been causing a lot of family strife the last month or so. I live out of state but I’m being asked all kinds of questions about the situation because my dad is a drug addict too. However, my dad is a crackhead, not a meth addict, so I’m not sure what the signs are.
