Hotel deLuxe Teams Up With Portland’s Homeless Youth

Portland, OR (PRWEB) January 25, 2010

Hotel deLuxe, a Portland hotel, has recently partnered with Outside In – an organization helping homeless youth in Portland – by joining its job training program where homeless youth are gradually introduced to the workplace.

“We are thrilled to be helping a local organization integrate our city’s youth into the workplace,” said Howard Jacobs. “Outside In is a wonderful organization doing things right for our city.”

Outside In provides comprehensive services to more than 500 homeless youth per year. Initially, these youth may have emotional walls they have built around themselves to survive. Outside In focuses on their strengths and builds the confidence that is required for them to be able to obtain self-sufficiency and accomplish their goals.

Outside In provides safety off the streets, meals and skilled counselors. An on-site transitional housing program delivers one of the most successful outcomes in the nation. Access to medical and mental health services for 8,000 uninsured people per year, a nationally recognized job training program, a thriving education program and drug and alcohol treatment groups have proven to move youth off the streets.
