High school softball: Offenses on rise after rubber is pushed back 3 feet
Thanks to a new rule, hitters are pounding the ball and scoring more this season. Pitchers aren’t striking out as many, but are finding that the extra 3 feet allows the ball to break more. Fielders are getting more chances, and making more errors.
