heroine addict?

Question by KC: heroine addict?
What do you do when your friend is an addict, and no one listens when you say “GET HIM HELP!!”. WHY HASN’T ANYONE gotten him any help?? His mom won’t do anything either, and no one listens to me when I say, “He’s going to die!!” He lives 3 states away from me, but I visit occasionally. And every time I do, he seems to be getting worse and worse. This past 4th of July, he was hazy and crying and put my baby cousin in danger, because of his addiction. What can I do? He won’t listen to anyone, and he won’t do rehab. Help?

There’s nothing you can do sweetie…I’m sorry. He has to make his own changes. All you can do is be there for him and let him know that when he is ready to change, you will be there for him.

Wow, thats pretty bad…. Just remember hes not your responsibility… but if that baby cousin is in danger, you should try to help while he isnt high and keep trying until your last and i mean last resort is child services or something (if thats his daughter) buttry to stay away from any violence and times when you might feel insecure around him.

(btw, i have no personal exp. with drugs addicts, but i really wwant to help this sitcuation.)

I hope this works and he recovers as well as yourbaby cousin is ok !
