Question by jeopardy: hello!i’m damn worried,it’s about my son.anyone know what to do?
my son is 14 months and he had tonsilitis for which my GP prescribed amoxillin ,2 days later he developed red rash all over his body and my GP diagnosed that he was allergic to amoxillin as well as erythromycin,i took him to a pedaec, she did a blood test and said confirmed that he was allergic to these drugs and talked about “supportive treatment”and no medicines.he’s not eating anything and his throat condition is not healed what should i do to reduce his discomfort and make him to eat something ,how does this kind of an allergic reaction come about while there is no record of anyone having allergy to penicillin in the family.
