have you ever learned–or attempted to learn–how to hula?

Question by tuttiphuckingfruitti: have you ever learned–or attempted to learn–how to hula?
how long before you were past the “epileptic three-legged water buffalo going through heroin withdrawals” stage, and progressed to the “i sort of look like i know what i’m doing” stage? i mean, i knew i was uncoordinated, but my ability to take a perfectly lovely dance and mutilate it beyond recognition is staggering, even to me. please tell me that practice makes perfect when it comes to the hula. i am so disheartened! thanks.

As with everything, practice does make perfect. If you want to look graceful while you’re dancing, you should dance in front of the mirror, so you can see what you really look like. Remember to make very smooth movements.
