Have you ever had a family member who was on drugs, but got help?
I’m proud of my aunt for overcoming her methamphetamine addiction. The rest of our family looked down on her for so many years, She came to family get-togethers looking absolutely horrible with needle marks on her arms, looking as if she hadn’t bathed in weeks, and just overall unwell and sick.
BUT today we had a Christmas party and she showed up (after 5 months of recovery) . She was dressed nicely, being sweet to everyone and wearing make-up. =) It made me so happy to see her that way (since she never cared about her appearance before).
