Slain man had survived 2005 shooting
DAYTON — Rodney C. Brooks survived a gunshot wound to the chest in July 2005. He was not so fortunate Monday night when an unknown assailant or assailants entered his Riverside Drive apartment, shooting him multiple times.He was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:45 p.m.

Man shot inside Dayton apartment during possible robbery identified
