The goth movement has been getting alot of bad press these days. Yes its a teentbopper form of rebellion but it goes much farther than that. Many adults are involves in this movement.One example is the shooting in Montreal several months ago by a crazyed pyscho, who ended up shooting 22 people. and according to his website he was a goth and satan worshipper. its interesting how this movement attracts social misfits and people with emotional problems. not that everyone in goth would fall into that category. the music their into isnt joy division, the cure, or my chemical romance it goes further than that. Real goth is the stuff of degerate behaviour-drug-sex producing children who are never cared for[or detox from meth],these people forthe whole figure society owes them a living and all they want to do is party, get drunk. get stoned, and be useless mermbers of society.

Real goths are NOT violent, sex obsessed, or drug addicts. Most of them are very nice, down to Earth, and live normal lives. The people you are talking about are disturbed people, and no matter what they call themselves, they are not goth, they are just troubled people who need help an sympathy. My husband has been a part of the real goth subculture for twenty years now. He’s and upstanding member of society, never does drugs or smokes, and teaches at a community college. My ex, also a goth, is a high school English teacher and spends all his free time trying to help kids who are in trouble. I’m a grad student and want to be a professor one day. Do we sound like bad people to you?
