gambling addiction or childish Instincts?

Question by Sam: gambling addiction or childish Instincts?
My mom is still out at the casino and she left at 9 pm and now its 6 am. she drives all the way to erie PA and we live in cleveland ohio. she goes to the casino at least once a week. she is a recovering alcoholic and she is in AA. i am only 12 and i cant take it! do you think she has an addiction or are my childish instincts wrong? please state your opinion. i have brought up the subject before and she denied it. i am very familiar with denial because at first she denied being an alcoholic. please tell your opinion!

Gambling should be fun but if overdone it becomes an addiction altogether. For most people gambling becomes an addiction when he or she goes on winning. This is what gambling is all about. In your case, i can only say that yes, you are true your mom seems to be addicted. Talk to her, she should also value her family and relationships. Hope she understands it and get over as quickly as possible…Good luck..
