Frankly speaking, a lot of people who consider themselves frank on the subject of Cannabis don’t seem to know “Jack”. Which is why we’re all here to help. The main objective of the group is to reduce the harm factor associated with the reported increase of Cannabis use amongst young people and adults, through understandable scientific, medicinal and spiritual interpretation of the effects, especially with high THC content strains most commonly found on the UK market. We aim to become a trusted, credible source of information, accessible to higher priority demographic groups, in light of the confusion over the relative harms of the class B drug in comparison to everyday foods and activities, due to the inadequate information provided by the government-funded ‘Talk To Frank’ service and the recent developments surrounding the Drugs Advisory Committee, and most notably the sacking of Chief Drugs Advisor, Professor David Nutt. The group will provide a practical, impartial and personal service to increase awareness amongst parents whose children may be experimenting with Cannabis, enabling them to understand the seemingly problematic effects which can often be the result of the child’s diet, lifestyle or indeed a hereditary quality. By giving school and college staff greater knowledge, when dealing with students, we strive to reduce the margin of young people not completing basic education, by creating an understanding of the issue and preventing unnecessary expulsions of …
