Question by momoftwins: For anyone who has a painkiller addiction?
have you ever successfully weaned yourself off to the point where you take nothing and have no withdrawls?

I have an addiction (I’m coming to terms with that) but I can’t afford treatment nor can I be away from my kids. I know I can get over this, it’s just that second day that kills me – the cramping of the, arms and hands and the extreme restless legs. I can’t sleep so I have to have something.

I really hate that I allowed my body to depend on these pills, but I have and I need to get over it. Anyone ever done it? And don’t say methodone – trying to get over one drug without getting hooked on another.

I figure I need a at least a week to be away from my job and my kids, then I can detox. Or am I in a dreamland?
Ashley – no not OC, it’s more percoset. I went from having one 5 mg once a weekend as a treat, to now taking 30 mg a day.
I don’t like weed, I used to smoke alot back in my teenage years but it only makes me twitchy and paranoid. thanks for your suggestion though
