Final fantasy XIII help…..”Lake Bresha”?

Question by Andrew: Final fantasy XIII help…..”Lake Bresha”?
I just bought FFXIII for Xbox 360 and i just got to the part in lake Bresha where i have to fight the “Garuda Interceptor”, the huge robot dragon lookin’ thing, lol. He comes in 2 phases, you have to weaken him and then in phase 2 he charges up for the last fight, but for some reason i cant defeat it,lol….I die every time he does that one gigantic blast, everytime i blast him from a distance and go up to him and slash him it doesent even effect him, lol….what paradigm should i be in? in what order should i shift paradigms? and what are the best attacks for this particular boss? Ive watched some youtube vids but they are very short and lack explanation, lol….for those who play, what are some good tips on beating the Garuda Interceptor in Lake Bresha??? I just get frustrated every time and quit, lol. Thanks 🙂
Sorry i seem like such a noob, lol….its just i havent played FF since X so im a lil’ bit sketchy, lol. Im a huge FF fan, have a Cloud ‘Fefnir’ wolf head tattoo on my leg to prove it,lol ;-)….and this is new to me bcuz its on XBOX, still getting used to the gameplay and controls 🙂

Since you’re having problems with the second part of the fight I’ll assume you can pass by the first part. For the second part have access to a paradigm with Commando, Ravager, Ravager, and Commando, Ravager, Medic. The first one will help you keep up a stagger chain while the second will allow you to heal. The second part of the fight is irritating due to the barrier practically negating damage, so you have to stagger him. If you aren’t at full health then switch to your medic paradigm, heal, then switch to Relentless Assault. If you have full health then switch to the Relentless Assault Paradigm which lets you build up a chain. When you take damage switch to the more diverse paradigm to prep yourself for the blast by making sure you’re at full health. Once you manage to stagger the Interceptor in the second half you should win easily with Relentless Assault.
