Ex-con gets 20 to 40 years in beating death of girlfriend
An ex-con who admitted beating his girlfriend to death and leaving her body on a sidewalk outside her Exeter apartment complex last spring must spend a state maximum 20 to 40 years in state prison, a Luzerne County judge said Thursday.

Mexican Drug Dealer From Richmond Gets 20 Years
A Mexican drug trafficker from Richmond has been sentenced in federal court in San Francisco to more than 20 years in prison for his role in a narcotics ring that sold heroin and methamphetamine in the Bay Area. Cornelio Mata Espinoza, 31, a Mexican citizen, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer to a charge of conspiring to distribute heroin and methamphetamine.
