I did my “commercial” on Heavier Than Heaven. It’s a biography on Kurt Cobain, though I originally planned to do John Lennon, some complications arose and I ended up doing it on Kurt Cobain. I basically just chopped together a bunch of clips from shows and videos, with the voice of kurt cobain from interviews. I totally understand that this may not be enough to prove I even read the book. So I guess I’ll write some stuff about it here. Kurt was born into a lower-middle class family, he says that he was a normal kid until his parents got divorced. He soon became so hateful and depressed, he turned to music to try to stop it. He believed if he could become famous all his problems would disappear. He got the band together, played some shows, and got signed to Subpop. If you know anything about the grunge movement you’d know that they probably were in the right place at the right time. When the music began to get bigger so did Nirvana. As a teenager he spent his days as anyone else, but extremely introverted and often suicidal. He moved around Washington mostly living with whoever was also in the band. When they got signed to a major label and made it big, he found no satisfaction in it. The fame he seeked brought no happiness, and the chronic stress-induced stomach pains began to get worse. He becomes famous, and soon after almost dies of a heroin overdose, a drug he turned to, to some how try to medicate himself. He gets married has a kid, and is overcome with guilt that he …
