EA Actors Prepare for Comedy
Starting Oct. 8, there will be “comedy tonight” as several East Aurora residents are featured in Aurora Players upcoming production of “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” at East Aurora’s Roycroft Pavilion.

Tax Increases Expected in Aurora
Aurora taxpayers with property outside the Village of East Aurora were warned to expect a 33 percent tax rate increase in their “town outside the village” tax bill in 2011, primarily reflecting the cost of police service. Aurora Supervisor Jolene Jeffe previewed a tough budget year at Monday’s regular board meeting.

Elma Cuts Keep Taxes Stable
The Town of Elma’s first draft for the 2011 budget follows the same pace as the budget has for many years. No property taxes are needed to support the $ 2.4 million general budget, and tax rates for the other town-wide servicesâ”highway, water and lightingâ”have decreased.
