Drunk woman from AA meeting keeps calling, how to stop this?

Question by Blowhole: Drunk woman from AA meeting keeps calling, how to stop this?
I met a woman at an AA meeting, and at our meetings there is a pamphlet passed around that has everyone with any length of time sober’s first name and their phone number. It is optional to have your number on that pamphlet, but I put mine on there because I called some people when I was new. The purpose of it is just so people can find a sponsor, help each other out, ask for a ride to a meeting, etc. It’s just that you’re kinda of meant to call people of the same gender…a male can’t be a female’s sponsor and vice versa.

This woman (she looks late 30’s, I’m late 20’s) who is in outpatient rehab but still drinking and failing the tests was outside after one of the meetings where I was having a cigarette. We talked a little bit about the program, her experience in rehab, and she told me she was getting divorced and how her main fear is being alone etc. Then she…I thought jokingly…asked if I wanted to go to California with her. I was taken aback but just kinda laughed and was like “nah, too hot in Calfornia”

I thought that was clear enough.

Anyway, she called me, and I picked up and she was slurring her words. I told her to go to a meeting the next day, and I was just like, “Alright I gotta run, good luck.” Since then she has left 5 messages on my voicemail and called two other times. This is in the span of two weeks. You can tell she is drunk from her voice each time.

What do I do? I don’t want to be in a relationship with this person, the most help I can is directing her to a meeting which is what I did …I really just want to be left alone…kind of regretting putting my number on the pamphlet now.
I do have caller ID…that’s why I don’t pick up the phone and it goes to voicemail.
@pragmatic Yeah that’s my last resort, though. I’d probably just change my number before doing that, but it’s kind of a pain to do that.

@chickpea I would ask the Secretary, but this woman hasn’t showed up for the meeting since that.
