Drugs In Bars And Nightclubs — Some Information You Can Actually Understand
To start off, let it be known drugs are bad and you shouldn’t take them, but chances are you don’t give a shit what I think (and nor should you). Â As someone that doesn’t mind the occasional pinger or 2, I decided to put together a bit of information that about drugs that doesn’t require a medical degree to understand.
Whether or not you think drugs are bad or not, one can safely say that the information out there is convoluded with a clear cut agenda, rather than offering an objective description of the positive and negative side effects. Â Now again, we must reiterate that you shouldn’t take illicit drugs, however given that ciggies and alcohol kill more people than all illicit drugs put together, we felt that a bit of objective information about drugs may help guide you in the event that you are in the 50% of the population who have tried recreational drugs at least once.
Ecstasy â (AKA: Pingers, Pills, Eccies, Disco Biscuits, X, E)
Ecstasy has the unique ability to evoke a sense of love, intimacy and compassion towards other people. Â As a result of this, it has been suggested that the pure form (MDMA) be used for therapeutic use, and has been used to relieve depression anxiety and other psychological issues.
The chief executive of the UK Medical Research Council stated that MDMA is “on the bottom of the scale of harm, and was rated to be of lesser concern than alcohol, tobacco, as well as several classes of prescription medications, when examining the harmfulness of twenty popular recreational drugs”
Despite this claim, MDMA makes up only one component of ecstasy bought off the street, which can also include a range of other harmful chemicals used to improve the yield.
Long term chronic use of ecstasy include memory loss, increased rates of anxiety, depression as well as range of other clinical disorders have been observed. Â These are exacerbated in people who already have a predisposition to these ailments.
