Americans Rejoice Over Death Of Bin Laden… but must monitor their rejoicing for personal safety and the safety of others. In the wake of Osama Bin Laden being killed this week by US Navy Seals, people all across the globe, but especially here in America, have been rejoicing at the terrorist leader’s demise ( www.bing.com ). At Journey Malibu’s Recovery Center, although we recognize the significance of this event, we’d like to remind everyone to be careful not to rejoice too much, or at least while doing so, not to indulge recklessly in beverages or substances that will only leave you with a bad case of Rejoicer’s Remorse. As government officials warn of a possible reprisal by Al Qaeda, it may be a little premature to celebrate the end of the war on terror anyway. But if you must rejoice, we’d like to ask that you rejoice responsibly. Because when it comes to alcoholism and drug addiction, we are all “high-value targets.”
