“Drug Facts” Question?

Question by J.: “Drug Facts” Question?
I have been using alot of blistex lip ointment lately. Like ALOT because of severe chapped lips. Today I noticed that there is .5% camphor in it, which is extremly toxic. I am freaking out that I am going to overdose or get poisioning from it.

When it says “Drug Facts” active ingredients and then the %. Is that per dose or in the entire tube of lip ointment?

I have used about half the tube in the last 24 hours and am so scared now.

I was also about to use it on my hands because of chapped hands (from winter), had it all rubbed on my hand then quickly had to wash it off. This was about 30min ago. How will I know if I overdose?

Are you kidding? You can not over dose on chapstik, no matter how much you use. Even if you used the entire tube at one time, it wouldn’t harm you. Besides, only a certain amount can be absorbed at a time. Stop worrying, you are fine.
