Drug Abuse War

The war against drug abuse appears to have been taken a notch higher, with the government now setting up a rehabilitation centre at the Mombasa General Hospital, staffed with a team of doctors who are to be trained on how to help victims of drug abuse get rid of their addiction. The team of doctors from Nairobi and Mombasa is led by national agency for the campaign against drugs, NACADA chairman Dr. Frank Njenga. The team left for Mombasa to embark on a campaign that will also see a stronger, all – inclusive drug law enforcement agency set up next year to replace NACADA.
