It looks like hard work Koush the Droid X! After a successful throwing the Clockwork Droid Recovery X last week , which was reported release of X Droid Recovery. And * not * a real recovery, but it is the answer to your question Yes, it allows you to flash custom ROMs! For the protocol, the device must be rooted in order to start recovery.
How does it work?
When the device boots, no init.rc script in the boot image, which activates the various elements found in / system. Droid bootstrap recovery X wannabe logwrapper binary. Kidnapper then looks for / data /. Recovery_mode and if found, it will unmount / system to prevent run android. Then begins, rather than recovery.
How to run recovery
You can manually create / data /. Recovery_mode using a file and simply restart the terminal, and you are in recovery. Or you can use a hand X Droid Recovery Bootstrap re-launch the application to recover.
Will this work with the Manager ROM
Yes, but not now. I have to do minor updates Manager ROM to support this recovery. Future updates will be through recovery ROM Manager.
