Dr. David Sack, Promises Treatment Centers on Adolescents using Marijuana, Tim Conway Jr. KFI Radio

Dr. David Sack, CEO of Promises Treatment Centers was interviewed on The Tim Conway Jr. Show about Prop 19, the marijuana initiative. Dr. Sack points out that in the Prop 19 referendum the authors attempt to portray marijuana as a benign drug that’s not addicting and has no harmful affects. But that’s simply not true. The public has to understand that marijuana is addicting exactly the same way that other drugs are addicting. Marijuana has special problems for adolescents. The brain continues to develop into the 20s and when young people smoke it interferes with brain and nerve development that causes permanent changes in memory and attention. Insurance studies support this.
