Question by driven: Does a 17 year old (18 in one month) already in therapy allowed to bring up the subject of substance abuse…?
….without their parents knowing? this is not a case of addiction just to be clear and also this is not the reason I’ve been in therapy for a year. This is just a little thing on the side that hasn’t gotten out of hand yet. I’ve been hospitalized before and that is not necessary at this point in time so please don’t say that in your answer. and I’m not lying about the addiction thing I am very new to drug use

The therapist is not allowed to tell your parents.
