Question by Marian: Do you think my friend is getting played by this guy?
My friend (42) divorced six months ago. Soon after, she met “Ken” and they started dating. I have only met Ken once, for about 2 minutes. I am not a fan of Ken. He used to be addicted to meth (and still does other drugs from time to time). He is married with kids, and apparently, no intention of leaving his wife for my friend.

My friend really, really likes Ken. I am trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but, no matter how I slice it, he is a creep. (I asked my friend why Ken isn’t getting divorced. Her answer? “He can’t afford to because he spent all his money on meth.”)

Am I just judging him too harshly? Could he be a nice guy in a marriage he can’t get out of?

Your friend is probably being played.
“Ken” is a creep, what does your friend see in him to keep him in her life? How is she benefiting?
