Do you think it is fair to give longer prison time to people convicted of using crack over other illegal drugs

Question by OceanBlue0910: Do you think it is fair to give longer prison time to people convicted of using crack over other illegal drugs
I mean what about the powder form of coke, or heroin, meth, illegally obtained precription meds?
It is a well known fact that crack cocaine is cheap and is the drug of choice in certain minority areas, yet meth is a BIG problem in non-minority areas. Powered coke is used a lot in places like Beverly Hills California. Why do the people who use crack get much longer prison time? Being caught with a loaded concealed pistol is a minor offense in some areas, yet it seems that the laws and how they are enforced are geared to get certain groups of people behind bars the longest. Don’t misunderstand me, I do not want a person who uses heroin, meth, powdered coke, or crack living on my block, driving on my streets or working with me, but the laws should be equal. California procecutors got exposed for sending ONLY blacks or hispanics to federal court for crack and tried whites in state court which got whites A LOT less incarceration time. Do you see why some see our justice system as biased?
